Solenoid does not include new copper washer # 11060-2073. If yours is corroded we recommend replacing it before installing the new solenoid.
Q:
Is a fuel solenoid needed? I read that if you clip off the end the Argo will run just fine.

A:
Clipping the tip off is a quick fix to get you out of the field or up and running, however it is not a permanent fix. The solenoid is designed to shut off the flow of fuel to the cylinder when the vehicle is parked on a hill or when starting the unit at an angle. Fuel can flow through the main jet into the cylinder causing the unit to flood and foul the spark plugs.
Bad fuel and ethanol are the causes of this solenoid to fail by becoming gummed up. As long as you run a good quality fuel stabilizer with every tank of gas you should be good to go for many years. We recommend that if you know you wont be using the unit for 6 months or more, drain the fuel and run it out of as before parking.
